Boiler Installation

TLB Heating & Plumbing can install domestic to light commercial boilers for most domestic premises, from the average homeowner, landlords or businesses. With my recommendations gained over many years of installations and based on your preferences, we can find a boiler and system design that is the best fit for your project. Whether its a simple boiler swap, relocation or a system conversion we are here to help.

We will always look at your current heat output and any potential growth to make sure we install a boiler fit for many years to come.

Boiler ranges

Our go to boiler is the Worcester Greenstar range due to there consistent Which? best buy awards, build quality, reliability and after sales care. Warranty term is 5 years + 2 with a Worcester filter.

A close second is the Ideal range, over the past few years Ideal have more than matched the other top brands for reliability on a modest budget and are now the UK’s second most popular boiler with their redesigned range.  A great option especially for landlords with their long warranty ranging from 5 to 12 years depending on range and filter packages.


Underfloor Heating

Gone are the days of uneven heat distribution throughout a room or a radiator that ends up behind the sofa not delivering its full benefits. Underfloor heating is now becoming more widely used in either new builds, renovations or a retro fit for existing properties.  At TLB Heating & Plumbing we can deliver UFH, with the help of manufacture designers, we can draw up plans to make sure the correct pipe runs will be laid, reducing long ineffective pipe runs and increasing efficiency.

“Quite simply underfloor heating is a system that uses pipes below the floor to circulate warm water producing a heat source capable of heating the air above it to any required temperature. Underfloor Heating (UFH) is a form of radiant heating meaning that the heat emitted from the floor warms people and other objects in rooms rather than directly heating the air as is the case with radiators (convection heating). We can install new or replace kitchen appliances such as hobs & cookers to manufactures instructions making sure you have a safe and reliable installation.

Hot water systems

Do you live in a house with more then one bathroom? Shower pressure keeps dropping when someone is using the sink? Then come to TLB Heating & Plumbing for help. We can look at options for installing un-vented hot water storage cylinders that will give an equal pressure of mains hot and cold throughout your house. Not quite got the right pressure from the street? Then we can look at accumulator vessels that will give true power shower performance without the needs for noisy pumps!


Gas Safety Checks & Servicing

We can carry out gas safety checks for most domestic gas appliance installations. Many homeowners neglect this but we hope that after a routine annual gas safety check, not only will this keep your boiler under its manufactures warranty (each manufacture warranty period will differ)  but we hope that you will feel confident that your appliance is safe for another year. With this added service it could prolong the life of your boiler and potentially pick up a fault before it goes horribly wrong on a cold winters day.

If you are selling you may require a safety check, again we are here to carry out such checks.

We can carry out landlord gas safety checks as required by law.

As a landlord, you are responsible for the safety of your tenants. The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 deal with landlords’ duties to make sure gas appliances, fittings and flues provided for tenants are safe. You can have the annual gas safety check on each appliance or flue carried out up to 2 months before the date the check needs to be carried out but still retain the original deadline date as if the check had been carried out exactly 12 months after the previous check.”
